About Our Coaches
Quinton Allies – One of the founders and custodians of futsal in South Africa, Quinton is highly skilled and highly motivated. He has 15+ years of futsal experience; including coaching, training and lecturing to promote the game. He has served as both the South Africa National Futsal Team’s Head Coach and Goalkeeper Coach. His experience also includes administrating futsal on the provincial and national levels. He has been instrumental in pioneering futsal among youth and schools nationally, including starting South Africa’s first ever girls school futsal league. Quinton is known for using sport as a means to bridge existing socioeconomic gaps, support education, promote tolerance, celebrate diversity and create a shared learning platform for the communities. He was a founding member of training4changeS, and has been instrumental in leading all of the organisation’s initiatives since 2014. Alongside invaluable life experience on and off the court, he brings incredible love and joy to the Futsal Academy, and is a father figure to the boys.
Keke Lehana – Keke first joined training4changeS as a volunteer in 2014, and went on to complete our Skills4Life Employability Initiative before being hired full-time. Keke is passionate about serving vulnerable children and youth. He has an unprecedented ability to connect with his players, and uses his role as a coach to educate young people. He has served as a Community Impact Coach with Coaches Across Continents in Zimbabwe where he taught community leaders to use sport for social impact. The Mayor of Stellenbosch has recognised Keke for outstanding youth leadership and contribution to education outside the classroom; in 2018 he was recognised with the WWE “Hero In All Of Us Award” for his use of sport for community transformation, and won the “Courageous Use of Sport Award” at the Beyond Sport Global Awards in New York City, USA where he also featured as a speaker on Youth Engagement. The Futsal Academy boys look up to Keke because of his leadership and experience, as well as the tireless love and commitment he shows them each day.
