Like so many of South Africa’s great leaders, Luvuyo hails from the country’s Eastern Cape Province. A passionate sportsman and committed servant of the community, a clear desire to learn and to lead is evident in his life. Immediately following high school, he began to get immersed in the world of community development. Working both locally and globally, he gained a passion for helping young people discover their true identity and take responsibility for being agents of change within their communities. Since first connecting with training4changeS in 2011 as a partner in the Sports Department at Kuyasa Horizon Empowerment, Luvuyo has been a committed friend and servant to the organization. In his role on the board he provides unprecedented insight and direction, pouring his heart into helping training4changeS equip young leaders and transform communities through sport.
Reagan firmly believes education is a gateway to a better life. Having grown up in Cape Town he completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management Accounting at the University of Stellenbosch, and went on to obtain an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Accounting from the University of South Africa. Prior to working for major corporations such as Metropolitan and Distell, Ltd., his passion for people and commitment to empowering others through education inspired him to spend time teaching in South Korea. He is also devoted to helping give more South African youth access to good education. Reagan appreciates the power that sport and the arts hold as tools for holistic development. He has been an important part of training4changeS since 2012. He brings fun-loving passion to the team and his vast experience with budgeting, reporting, and sales analysis play a crucial role in the viability of the organization.
Daniel has been involved with soccer for over 20 years; his career includes playing and coaching on 3 continents. Growing up in Kenya and Nigeria he experienced firsthand the power soccer has to transform lives. It was during these years that he first envisioned using soccer as a tool for development. He holds a Master of Arts in Global Leadership, a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management, as well as a number of soccer coaching licenses from around the world. Since co-founding training4changeS in 2010, Daniel has established multiple partnerships across the globe and has been instrumental in pioneering a unique sport for development model that is committed to building deep transformational relationships with individuals in order to change communities. From coaching grassroots soccer to using futsal as a platform for reconciliation and youth development to helping redefine the way sport is used for social impact, he has gained a wealth of experience that he is always keen to share with others.
Kendra has vast international experience that includes spending time in 16 countries on 3 continents. She was born and raised in Nigeria by American parents and brings a valuable multicultural perspective to the training4changeS team. Growing up surrounded by poverty in Nigeria, she developed a passion for helping others. She has a servant heart and a long-standing desire to facilitate work with underprivileged young people. She co-founded training4changeS in 2010; her creativity, attention to detail, and management skills are instrumental in the organization. Kendra received a Master of Library Science in Information Organization from the University of North Texas and also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. In addition to her responsibilities with training4changeS, she works as a freelance Library Development Consultant.
Paul is Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach at Elon University. He has a wealth of knowledge on professional, collegiate and international soccer. Passionate about teaching soccer, he has managed and coached youth clubs as well as the Mississippi Olympic Development Program. Prior to joining Elon, Paul was head coach of Bryan College where he was named the 2017 Appalachian Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. Having grown up in Nigeria, Paul moved to the United States in 2003 when he played his first of four seasons with the Belhaven College men’s soccer team. He went on to play two seasons for Mississippi Brilla FC, of the Professional Development League. He received a bachelor’s degree in sports administration from Belhaven College and a master’s degree in intercollegiate athletic administration from Mississippi College. Paul also holds a United States USSF A-Senior License and a National Youth License
A passionate educator, John has been taught high school English for 16 years before becoming Assistant Principal at Alfred G Walters Middle School in Middletown, Deleware. His commitment in the classroom is evidenced by multiple Teacher of the Year awards and a place on the National Teacher Honor Roll, as well recognition in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. He earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Delaware. John is a respected mentor of both educators and students. He co-founded a Literacy Alliance to drive the standard of education in his school to a higher level. He is devoted to helping young people unlock their true potential while creating opportunities for them to experience the world. Passionate about travel, he first encountered training4changeS during a trip to South Africa. Our desire to build deep transformational relationships, and promote education as the pathway to a brighter future instantly resonated with him. He first became part of our financial support team before joining our Board in 2015. John focuses on strengthening the work we do to support education.
Kaitie’s forward thinking has been a gift to training4changeS since she started with us as an intern. Born in Norman, Oklahoma, has a Master’s Degree in International Studies with a focus on Humanitarian Aid & Economic Development at the University of Oklahoma. Her passion for serving others is evidenced by the numerous hours she has spent volunteering with non-profit organizations around the world. A commitment to finding innovative and relevant approaches to development has led her on a journey that includes working with Casa delle Culture’s Portfolio of Integration in Arezzo, Italy, being involved in multiple initiatives at Cornerstone International, and consulting for The Oklahoma Group. Kaitie’s drive, focus, and exceptional administrative capacity has been instrumental in the growth of our organization since her very first day. Quickly endearing herself to our Board members during her internship, she took up a role on the management team in 2015. She continues to bring a contagious ambition and fresh perspective to training4changeS. Among other things, she now helps oversee our internships.
